Carpet Pythons
Arboreal Australians with the best personality-to-size ratio in the hobby.

What you're taking on
Carpet pythons are alert, climbing, genuinely interactive snakes that reward a tall enclosure and a bit of patience. Jungle, coastal, jaguar and caramel lines look nothing alike, so the locality or line matters as much as the morph name. Hatchlings can be nippy and grow out of it.
- Jaguar carries a neurological wobble — ask about severity.
- Locality or line stated plainly (jungle, coastal, Irian Jaya).
- Height in the enclosure it was raised in — they climb.
- Established feeder; hatchlings can be stubborn starters.
- Adult size expectation varies hugely by line.
