What you're taking on
Amazon tree boas come in more colours than almost any other snake, from orange and yellow to red and banded. Emerald tree boas are greener and more specialised. Both live up high, eat at night, and tend to bite when handled.
- A perch-style enclosure taller than it is wide.
- Eating consistently, on what prey and how often.
- Colour phase as a juvenile versus the expected adult colour.
