What you're taking on
Geckos cover a wide range of care. Leachianus geckos are the largest living geckos and command high prices by locality; crested and gargoyle geckos are hardy and easy to start with. Locality and lineage drive value at the high end.
- Species and locality written out (for example, Pine Island or Nuu Ami).
- Weight and age, especially on juveniles.
- Tail and toe condition; stuck shed on toes is common.
